Bob Bradley named his USA World Cup roster on Wednesday, so the boys discuss the 23 names position by position, and try to work out how the words Robbie and Findley got on there. There's also an interview with Leigh Cowlishaw, head coach and director of soccer for USL2's Richmond Kickers. Coach Cowlishaw talks about World Cup bound ex-Kicker Tim Brown and reveals where his own USA vs England loyalties lie. This is an extended version of the show broadcast on WRIR Thursday May 27th, with a good 20 minutes of extra USA related discussion and several jokes that we couldn't air on the radio. Not so much because they were rude. More that they just weren't very funny. Enjoy! Last but not least, the four of us will be at the USA vs Turkey friendly in Philadelphia this Saturday May 29th, so if anyone is interested in meeting up then please email us at soccer[at]wrir[dot]org

In anticipation of the USA v England match on June 12, the guys discuss their ideal pre-game preparations, including beer, cocktails, food, music, and video clips... Oh, and Daryl apparently feeds on tears. Make a note of that.

In the final World Cup 2010 preview, the guys take a look at Group H (Chile, Honduras, Spain, and Switzerland), and use their "formula" to determine which two teams will be advancing. The most terrifying movie character ever, curling, The Queen, and a coin flip all play their parts. Download and enjoy!

No time for a World Cup group preview this week, because the big news was the announcement of the USA's preliminary 30 man World Cup roster. The boys go through position by position to dicuss Bob Bradley's choices, and also attempt to do Bradley's job and cut the roster down to 23. There 31 other teams named their prelimiary World Cup squads too, so there's an additional podcast exclusive (meaning it wasn't good enough to go on the radio) discussion of other team's choices too.

On this week's episode, the boys are back to discussing the World Cup groups after taking a week off for nostalgic purposes. This week it's Group G (Brazil, Ivory Coast, North Korea, Portugal) with conversations involving the role of reggae in the downfall of apartheid, the New York Cosmos, useful tidbits regarding the metric system, and a whole lot more. Listen and enjoy... unless you're Kim Jong-Il... then you might want to pass on this one...
