On the newest episode of the Total Soccer Show (dubbed "Ocho Cuatro" to make Chad Ochocinco feel at home), the usual crew assembled in studio to preview the upcoming USA - Argentina friendly (and Albert treads a fine line between Bob Bradley support and Bob Bradley Rant Box). Then it's on to the "correspondi" of the week. Firstly, NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco is currently in the process of trying out for Sporting KC. @rowansound asked "What other NFL stars would you like to see in MLS?" We give our answers which are more or less socially acceptible (Daryl, looking in your direction). We then debut "The Six Degrees of David Beckham Game" and play a little "Lightning Fill-In-The-Blank" (thanks to NPR's "Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me" for inspiration. Download and enjoy! |

A show of two halves this week. In part one, Taylor and Albert review Milan's 1-0 win over Juventus and sing the praises of Rino Gattuso. In part two, Daryl and Josh are joined by Peyton Siddall to discuss the Total Soccer Show team's CVSA 11-a-side debut. Stick around to the end to find out about our MLS fantasy league. |

On the heels of Josh's involvement in a local soccer videogame tournament, we assembled in studio to discuss the actual events of the tournament and to break down the FIFA videogame franchise. We discussed the history of the game, why it's more popular than other platforms, some of our favorite specific memories, and where we think the game is headed. With those conversations in the books, we moved on to a new feature on the show: The Twitter Game. Taylor reads aloud a (seemingly) random Tweet from a famous footballer, and then gives three potential names (with only one correct answer). The guys then make an educated guess, points are awarded, and a winner is (hopefully) eventually declared. |
