May 24, 2002 was officially the most controversial day in Irish sporting history. Ireland captain Roy Keane went head to head with Ireland manager Mick McCarty at the team's pre-World Cup camp in Saipan, and the result was Keane being booked on the next plane back to Dublin, his 2002 World Cup over before it had even begun.
