We head to the studio to discuss the US U-23's Olympic qualifying campaign, specifically their game against Canada.  Let's just say the game did not go as planned.  Where the U-23's over confident?  How do we feel about inverted wingers?  And, what does a Christmas tree have to do with soccer?

Josh has a big smile on his face as we induct Tony Meola as our first goal keeper in the the group of Americans who have profoundly influenced soccer. Next we take a quick trip across the pond to explore some soccer of the English variety. We breakdown the big English Premier League matchup between Manchester City and Chelsea. We also discuss what Carlos Tevez's roll should or should not have been.

We review Man Utd's semi-ironic mauling of Wolves, discuss the reaction to Fabrice Muamba's collapse at White Hart Lane, weigh up the Champions League and Europa League draws, Dave Richards sobriety or otherwise and welcome TopDrawerSoccer.com's Travis Clark into the studio to discuss the US U-23 team as they prepare for this week's CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying tournament.

After literally years of discussing the idea, we finally review a classic match. Much to Daryl's dismay (sort of) we chose the 1986 World Cup Quarterfinal between Argentina and England. Classic in every sense of the word, you have controversy( Maradona's "Hand of God"), brilliance (Maradona's "Goal of the Century"), mullets, short shorts, goalies picking up back passes, Canadian TV feeds(drink Labatt), and England in sky blue shorts.  

MLS is back, so we breakdown both D.C. United v. Sporting K.C. and F.C. Dallas v. N.Y. Red Bull.  Which team will start the new season the brightest? Are D.C. ready to make a playoff push? How deep will Thierry Henry drop in pursuit of the ball?

MLS 2012 First Kick is this weekend, so we give any EuroSnobs out there plenty of reasons to watch MLS this season. We also play a little MLS-themed Spelling Bee and call up Luke Moore of The Football Ramble to discuss the England national team.
